Healthy cholesterol ratio is less than 4. The healthy cholesterol ratio is obtained by dividing the total cholesterol number by the value given for the HDL cholesterol. For example, if you have total cholesterol of 240 mg/dL and an HDL of 60 mg/dL, the ratio is 4.
